Today there is a tranquil section of Williston, Vermont known as
North Williston. But it wasn't always that way; at one time it was
a thriving village in its own right. North Williston gained
importance coinciding with the predominance of the railroad, from
the late 1800s and early 1900s. The trains brought passengers,
freight, and mail to Williston. Numerous industries sprang up close
to the tracks. With the decline of the importance of the railroad,
businesses in North Williston closed. North Williston became the
industrial and commercial section of Williston and attracted such
businessmen as Smith Wright and John Whitcomb, who used the area as
a base to acquire significant wealth and influence. Other North
Williston industries included a rake factory, a cheese factory, the
Fay and Whitcomb lumber and grain business, a blacksmith shop, and
a creamery.
Originally published in 1967, Richard H. Allen's volume with a
foreword by Robert O. Weiss was the first comprehensive
bibliography of Arthur Schnitzler's writings, including his
literary works (with translation and criticism), philosophical
reflections, essays, correspondence, and medical writings, together
with general criticism and dissertations on the author. Indices of
titles, personal names, and periodicals make the material readily
accessible.
Star names, the zodiac, constellations; folklore and literature associated with heavens. The basic book of its field. Fascinating reading solidly based on years of thorough research into astronomical writings and observations of the ancient Chinese, Arabic, Euphrates, Hellenic and Roman civilizaitons.

In volume two of At the Cross, Richard Allen focuses on the
sanctification that follows a believer's initial commitment to
Christ. The cross of Christ represents the spiritual, physical, and
metaphoric reasons for our existence. At the Cross is a
line-by-line examination of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and
John as these apostles describe events from the Garden of
Gethsemane to the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. This
book is written for both new and seasoned believers so they may
find direction for, and discover the ramifications of, that
commitment. At the Cross is also written for nonbelievers so they
can see why believers, from the martyrdom of Christ to the most
recent Chinese Christian jailed and tortured for his faith, would
forfeit their lives and liberty rather than deny their Savior.
The cross of Christ represents the spiritual, physical, and
metaphoric reasons for our existence. Old Testament scripture
foreshadows Christ and his sacrifice at the cross. New Testament
scripture reiterates that Old Testament vision as we are led to the
singularly most significant event in the history of mankind. At the
Cross is a line-by-line examination of the Gospels of Matthew,
Mark, Luke, and John as these apostles describe events from the
Garden of Gethsemane to the resurrection and ascension of Jesus
Christ. This book is written for both new and seasoned believers so
they may find direction for their commitment and the ramifications
of that commitment. At the Cross is written for non-believers so
they can see why believers from the martyrdom of Christ to the most
recent Chinese Christian jailed and tortured for his faith would
forfeit their lives and liberty rather than deny their Savior.
